I first started my journey with Jaker’s in 2003 as a server. Being only 19 years old at the time, I didn’t have much experience under my belt. Previously I was cooking and serving at Pizza Hut at the age of 15, which gave me the desire to move forward with my passion for the food service industry.
I was born in Mesa Arizona and later moved to Carson City, Nevada. My parents and I later moved to Jerome Idaho. They were both raised here, so it was home for them, as it soon was for me too. I went on to graduate high school in 2002 and spent about a year enjoying some time off before returning to work.
After 2 years with Jaker’s I started bartending and eventually managed the bar. I was always eager to learn more and soon became assistant manager for Doug Collier. During this time I was required to learn the kitchen as well as all other operations of the restaurant. In February 2007 I became pregnant with my beautiful son, Brayden. October 7th he was born and 3 weeks later I was asked to be come General Manager of the Twin Falls restaurant so Doug Collier could move to our Great Falls location. I had a lot to learn in a short amount of time, but had a great time doing it and still hope to learn and teach more over the years. When I’m not working I enjoy spending time with my son and family. We love doing things outdoors such as, boating, wakeboarding, snow skiing, scuba diving and just traveling. Of course, my son is a little too young for most of these activities still, but eventually we will be able to do all of them together.
